ClearLabs is committed to helping you take proactive control of your health by giving you access to meaningful data and insights. Our mission is to support Australians in moving beyond “normal” and working toward their personal best. We do this by delivering content that is clear, actionable, and grounded in science.
All ClearLabs content is developed according to strict editorial standards to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance. To support this mission, ClearLabs earns revenue from advertising and sponsorships across our digital properties — including our website, secure user portal, social media accounts, and selected partner platforms.
We maintain complete editorial independence at all times. While sponsors may fund content around broad themes (such as “Heart Health” or “Performance Optimisation”), ClearLabs retains sole control over the editorial process.
Advertisers do not influence or shape the final content. In some cases, we may collaborate with sponsors on co-created material or publish content produced directly by the sponsor. Such content is always clearly labelled.
Transparency is a core part of our user promise. This policy outlines how we generate revenue and how we handle advertising, sponsorship, and commercial relationships.
Any content that is sponsored or part of an advertising agreement is always clearly identified, in accordance with sections 4 and 5 of this policy.
1. Ad Review and Approval
ClearLabs reserves full discretion over the acceptance, display, and placement of all advertising. We may reject, cancel, or remove ads at any time, for any reason. If this happens, the advertiser will be notified promptly and given an explanation.
We also control the location and context of all ad placements across our platforms.
2. Non-Endorsement of Advertised Products or Services
The presence of advertising on any ClearLabs property does not imply an endorsement of the advertiser or their products and services. From time to time, our editorial team may independently review or rate health-related products or technologies (e.g. “Best Wearables for Heart Rate Tracking”). These decisions are made independently, without input from advertisers or financial partners.
3. Restrictions on Acceptable Advertising
We will not accept advertisements that are misleading, inappropriate, or offensive. All products or services promoted must be lawfully available and accessible to users in the Australian marketplace.
ClearLabs prohibits ads that contain:
- Fraudulent or deceptive claims
- Offensive, defamatory, libellous, or threatening content
- Discriminatory or disparaging material based on age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected attributes
In addition, we do not accept advertisements for:Tobacco, alcohol, or recreational drugs
- Firearms, ammunition, or fireworks
- Gambling, pornography, or adult services
- Political campaigns or partisan messaging
- Any ad designed to mimic editorial content or simulate emergency alerts
All advertisements must clearly disclose the identity of the advertiser. If an ad looks similar to editorial content, it will be labelled accordingly with terms like “Advertisement” or “Sponsored.”
4. Clear Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content
We maintain a strict separation between editorial and commercial material. All ads on ClearLabs are distinctly labelled and easily identifiable. If a user clicks on an ad, they will be taken either to the advertiser’s site or to a sponsored landing page hosted by ClearLabs.
Any such pages will make it clear that the content is sponsored and not part of our independent editorial coverage.
5. Clear Identification of Sponsored Content
Pocdoc may work with well-vetted sponsors — such as health brands, product makers, and research organisations — to offer sponsored or branded content that delivers useful, timely information to our users.
ClearLabs occasionally partners with reputable companies — including health brands, product manufacturers, and research institutions — to produce sponsored content that benefits our users.
Any content funded or influenced by a sponsor is reviewed by our editorial team and subject to the same quality and clarity standards as all other articles. Sponsored content is clearly marked using labels such as “Sponsored” or “From Our Sponsor” to differentiate it from independent editorial content.
We may also display sponsored content or partner posts across social media or in email communications. These will be clearly marked to avoid confusion.
6. Affiliate Program (Product and E-commerce Links)
In some of our articles — particularly those covering supplements, wearables, or health-related tools — our editorial team may include links to products they believe offer real value to users.
All such selections are made independently and without sponsor input. However, ClearLabs may earn a commission if you click one of these links and make a purchase within a set time window (usually 24 hours). This commission does not affect the price you pay.
These affiliate relationships help support the ongoing production of free, high-quality content
7. Distinguishing Partner Program Content
Partner relationships differ from sponsorships. Partners may provide services, offers, or content hosted on our platform, but they are not created or reviewed by the ClearLabs editorial team and do not undergo our usual editorial review.
We assess potential partners carefully to ensure their offerings align with our users' interests, expectations, and safety.
All partner content is clearly marked to ensure it is not mistaken for ClearLabs’ editorial material. Where applicable, pages will include the following notice:
“ClearLabs and our partners may receive a portion of revenues if you make a purchase using a link on this page.”
We may also include a “What’s This?” link to explain the relationship in more detail.
